Waaaaafles

My name is Michael Patashnik. I’m a Software Engineer at Google. (Standard disclaimer that all things posted here are my opinions alone and not those of Google.) I make waffles.

I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, spending my days hiking through woods, swimming in a mostly-unchlorinated pool and slinging cardboard.

Each summer until the age of 19 I traveled to Camp Ramah in New England to spend a glorious month or two in Palmer Massachusetts full of dump-swing flicks, weighted block point color wars, and rocky mountain toast. It was there I acquired the name Shnik, and it’s stuck ever since.

A combination of Harry Potter night at Riseley and sitting in on CS4820 – Algorithms convinced me to apply early decision to Cornell. There I was the musical director of The Chai Notes an amateur bartender and resident CS guy for the Center for Jewish Living.

I like games.
