My name is Michael Patashnik. I’m a Senior studying Computer Science and Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. I make waffles.
I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, spending my days hiking through woods, swimming in a mostly-unchlorinated pool and slinging cardboard.
Each summer until the age of 19 I traveled to Camp Ramah in New England to spend a glorious month or two in Palmer Massachusetts full of dump-swing flicks, weighted block point color wars, and rocky mountain toast. It was there I acquired the name Shnik, and it’s stuck ever since.
A combination of Harry Potter night at Riseley and sitting in on CS4820 – Algorithms convinced me to apply early decision to Cornell. Since then I’ve become the musical director of The Chai Notes and resident CS guy for the Center for Jewish Living.
Next year I will be working as a Software Engineer for Google in their Mountain View office.
I like games.
